"Our heads are round so our thoughts can change direction"

~ Francis Picabia

No one is stuck thinking a certain way, although sometimes it can feel impossible to escape from challenging or negative thoughts and feelings. As a counselor, my goal is to help individuals, couples and families identify those thoughts or feelings that might benefit from a change in direction.

I utilize a strengths-based, person-centered, approach that is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). CBT is based on the idea that our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are all connected, and making small changes can result in new insights that help us to move forward. Together we will determine what goals you have and what the best path towards meeting those goals will be.

I have worked in a community mental health agency and in a hospital-based inpatient and intensive outpatient program, running groups and providing individual, couples, and family therapy. I also have experience working with seniors and their families making the transition from home to senior care facilities and enjoy working with adolescents age 13 and up, young adults, adults, couples, and families from a variety of ethnic and economic backgrounds.

Currently, I am continuing my education and pursuing a PsyD at Adler University.
